Update on Salt and Freshwater Fishing Opportunities

Please join the Annapolis Anglers Club for its Wednesday, April 17th, 7 PM meeting at the American Legion Post 7 at 1905 Crownsville Road in Annapolis, MD. The meeting's featured speaker is expert angler Eric Packard. Eric is a commissioner to the Maryland Sport Fisheries Advisory Commission representing tidal and non-tidal recreational anglers. Eric is a contributing writer to FishTalk Magazine, providing content with respect to kayak fishing, shoreline fishing and weekly reports about fishing around the Chesapeake Bay region in both fresh and saltwater. He recently placed 2nd in the 2023-2024 annual CCA pickerel tournament! Eric resides in Southern Maryland and fishes roughly 240 days per year. Eric is a long-time member of the SpinSheet Century Club, which recognizes participants for 100 days or more a year on water, in a boat.  He will share information with meeting attendees about salt and freshwater fishing opportunities in and around Maryland, both on the Bay and in fresh water--and hopefully provide insights on what it takes to get away with fishing two out of every three days. Annapolis Anglers Club meetings are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. At each meeting there are food options, beverages, and a raffle with valuable prizes for all attendees. Please join us on April 17th!

The Annapolis Anglers Club does not have dues so meeting attendees are asked to support the club by purchasing table raffle and 50/50 tickets. The American Legion Post has food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Arrive early, have dinner, and help support the American Legion Post.

Entry to the meeting room is through the double doors on the larger parking lot side of the building.

The Annapolis Anglers Club meets at: The American Legion Post #7, 1905 Crownsville Rd, Annapolis , MD 21401.

Meetings start at 7 p.m.

GOT A FISHING STORY?

Club President Kevin McMenamin likes to start our member meetings by asking if anyone has a fishing story.  So, have you been out recently?  Where have you tried your luck? (You don’t have to give your secret spots.) What were you trying to catch? What have you caught?  What lures have you tried? What lure(s) was successful? No one is put on the spot. Just look at it as helping to educate your fellow anglers. So if you have a fishing story, we look forward to hearing your fishing story.

Annapolis Anglers Club meetings are open to the public. Spouses and children are welcome to attend. There will be drawings for table prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets for the table prizes and the 50/50 drawing are $5 each. Food and drinks are available at very reasonable prices from the
American Legion Post kitchen. Arrive early, have dinner, and get your prize and raffle tickets. Meetings are held at the American Legion Post 7, 1905 Crownsville Rd, Annapolis MD 21401. The meeting starts at 7p.m.
